Depending on the size of the crowd, prepare the ribs as follows:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
METHOD OF PREPARATION
Place rack(s) of ribs in shallow baking pan, preferably glass or stainless steel. (Do not use aluminum) Lightly sprinkle ribs with garlic powder. (Not salt!) Add enough water to almost cover the ribs and add one half cup (measuring cup) of Diamond J Barbeque Sauce, mixing with the water. (This can be done prior to placing ribs in the pan)
Cover and place in the oven for one hour twenty minutes. Remove the covering and continue to bake for an additional fifteen minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. Discard the liquid. While still warm, cut the rack of ribs into one or two individual pieces. Place on a cookie sheet. Spoon on the barbeque sauce, turn over the ribs and apply to the other side. Cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for a minimum of two hours.
COOKING ON THE BARBEQUE
Remember that the ribs are already cooked and marinated. “Dump” the ribs on the hot grill and cook over direct coals. Turn ribs constantly and apply sauce each time the ribs are turned. This will not take long and the idea is to heat the ribs cook a glaze of sauce over them.
Remove from grill and serve immediately.
ENJOY!
